本片是繼１９４６年的【為我譜上樂章】之後，迪士尼又一部短篇音樂合輯動畫片，不過本片著名的短篇較多，其中除了“狂亂的飛行”、“樹木之頌”與“忘情森巴舞”是無劇情的純音樂片之外，其他段落都屬短篇劇情性質，而且其表現的方式如同音樂劇一般，敘述、對話都用歌唱來進行。而且在取材方面“強尼蘋果籽”與“佩柯河斯比爾”都是美國本土流傳的傳奇故事，是本片最有名的段落，其他如“冬日回憶”是一個愛情故事，“拖船小嘟嘟”則充滿寓意。另外在１９４６年上映的【南方之歌】中那兩位小童星，在本片的“佩柯斯比爾”中亮相引申故事，...
